Studying Biological Sciences with plans to transfer into medicine in June of this year. The hope is to be a physician and to then specialize further from there.
Interests
Enjoys running and being creative, as well as spending time with her cat and friends in her free time.
Jess’s goal was to study medicine and to become a medical doctor. After completing matric, she started job-shadowing Dr Taban at Midstream Mediclinic. Despite her excellent grade 12 marks, she was unfortunately not accepted into medical school and was subsequently placed into the BSc program at the University of Pretoria. Jess persevered and continued to achieve outstanding marks in the first semester of her BSc degree, averaging 89.7%. She recently got the wonderful news that she has finally been accepted into medical school and will commence her studies in the second half of 2022. Through funding from The Emmanuel Taban Foundation scholarship program, Jess has been able to the steps towards achieving her goal
